About the Event

Southern Arizona Construction Career Days is a two-day workforce development event designed to introduce middle school and high school students to career opportunities in the construction and skilled trades industries, with one day dedicated to middle school and one to high school.
Hosted through a collaborative partnership between industry leaders, educational institutions, and community organizations, the event will provide students with hands-on experiences, live demonstrations, interactive exhibits, and direct engagement with construction professionals. Since 2014, SACCD has welcomed more than 15,000 students from over 150 schools.
Industry partners, educators, and workforce organizations will come together to showcase career pathways, training programs, certifications, and employment opportunities that support long-term career growth within the construction industry.
What Students Experience
Hands-On Learning
Students don't just learn about careers, they experience them. From operating heavy equipment and exploring construction technology to participating in interactive demonstrations, students gain firsthand exposure to the tools, skills, and innovation that power the construction industry.
Explore Educational Pathways
Discover the pathways that lead from classroom to career. Students learn about apprenticeships, industry certifications, dual enrollment opportunities, workforce training programs, and degree pathways offered through Pima Community College and the University of Arizona.
Connect with Industry Professionals
Meet the people building Southern Arizona. Students engage directly with construction companies, skilled trades professionals, engineers, architects, project managers, and workforce leaders who share real-world insights and career opportunities.
Technology & Design
See the technology behind every build. Students try drafting, design, and computer-aided construction tools and learn how engineers and architects plan the projects that shape our communities.
