Help Your Students

Build Their Futures

Event Information

Building on the career exploration introduced through Southern Arizona Construction Career Days, this event helps 11th- and 12th-grade students connect their interests to concrete next steps after graduation. By bringing education and employers together, the partnership helps students understand how training, certifications, apprenticeships, and college programs lead to careers in construction and the built environment.

Hosted at Pima Community College’s Downtown Campus, Build Your Future connects students with the partnership in action. Students will tour the Building Construction area within the Advanced Manufacturing Center, meet directly with employers, explore job pathways, and hear from industry speakers.

The Advanced Manufacturing Center demonstrates how education and industry work together to prepare the future workforce. This high-tech facility includes building construction, robotics, welding, machining, optics, and computer-aided drafting and design, along with other applied technology certificates and credentials. It is also home to the Business Incubator and FIT Lab.

Through these experiences, students can connect what they see in the facility with the skills employers need—and identify an education or employment pathway that fits their goals.
